Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan is currently recruiting a Multi-Property Director of Sales. 

Reporting to the Multi-Property General Manager, the Multi-Property Director of Sales is responsible for leading all sales and commercial activities for Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan and The Rome EDITION.

This role provides strategic leadership across Sales, Groups & Events, and Reservations, driving revenue growth, market share, profitability, and customer loyalty. The position requires a highly commercial, results-driven leader who can develop and execute integrated sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, and inspire high-performing teams across two luxury properties.

SCOPE OF WORK 

The Multi-Property Director of Sales is accountable for the overall commercial performance of both hotels by:

  • Achieving revenue, market share, booking pace, and profitability objectives.
  • Developing and executing integrated sales, distribution, and commercial strategies aligned with Marriott International and brand priorities.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to drive sustainable revenue growth.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, ownership, business partners, and Marriott stakeholders.
  • Maximizing hotel visibility and market positioning through strategic account management and business development initiatives.
  • Driving customer satisfaction, loyalty, and long-term value through exceptional commercial leadership.
  • Leading, developing, and inspiring Sales, Groups & Events, and Reservations teams across both properties.
  • Ensuring commercial discipline, financial stewardship, and compliance with Marriott standards, policies, and procedures.

Core Work Activities

Commercial Strategy & Sales Leadership

  • Develops and executes short and long-term sales strategies to maximize revenue and market share across both properties.
  • Leads proactive and reactive sales efforts, account management, prospecting, and business development activities.
  • Evaluates market conditions, customer trends, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Partners closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations teams to optimize pricing, segmentation, distribution, and demand generation strategies.
  • Participates in strategic sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reviews.
  • Ensures effective deployment of Marriott sales channels, demand engines, and commercial resources.

Customer & Stakeholder Relationships

  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, luxury travel partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represents both properties within the local and international business community, strengthening awareness and market presence.
  • Collaborates with Marriott commercial teams and regional partners to identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Promotes a customer-centric culture focused on service excellence, loyalty, and long-term relationship development.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Provides strategic direction and day-to-day leadership to Sales, Groups & Events, and Reservations teams.
  • Creates a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Coaches, mentors, and develops team members to strengthen commercial capabilities and future leadership talent.
  • Partners with Human Resources to support talent acquisition, succession planning, retention, and associate development initiatives.
  • Establishes clear objectives, performance expectations, and development plans that support both individual and business success.

Financial & Commercial Performance

  • Leads the commercial planning process, including annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Monitors and analyzes key business performance indicators including Revenue, ADR, RevPAR, market share, production, conversion, and profitability.
  • Identifies opportunities to maximize return on investment and improve overall hotel performance.
  • Ensures commercial resources and expenditures are managed effectively and aligned with business priorities.
  • Supports ownership objectives through profitable revenue growth and strong financial performance.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Proven track record in senior Sales leadership roles within the luxury hospitality sector
  • Strong understanding of luxury travel markets, customer expectations, and high-end commercial sales strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, market share, and profitability in a competitive environment.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is required; additional languages will be considered an advantage.

Verdura Resort will lead the sales strategy for the property, driving revenue growth through key account management, business development, strategic partnerships, and long-term market positioning. Working closely with the General Manager and functionally reporting to the Area Director of Sales, Southern Italy, the role will lead and develop the sales team while partnering with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to maximize commercial performance and profitability. The Director of Sales will also oversee the Golf segment and the Golf Sales Manager, ensuring the development of this strategic business segment and its alignment with the overall sales strategy of Verdura Resort. Main Duties & Responsibilities • Define and execute the sales strategy for Verdura Resort, driving revenue growth through key account management, account development, and new business opportunities. • Develop and strengthen relationships across key luxury leisure, corporate, groups and strategic markets, with particular focus on the North American market and luxury consortia. • Contribute to annual business planning, budgeting and forecasting, including the development of the Sales & Marketing Plan for Verdura Resort. • Partner closely with Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations to optimize pricing, segmentation, channel mix and overall commercial performance. • Work closely with Global Sales Offices to increase awareness, develop key accounts and maximize business opportunities across strategic international markets. • Monitor market trends, competitive activity and hotel performance, identifying new opportunities and implementing corrective actions where required. • Lead and develop the Sales team, driving performance against agreed targets and fostering collaboration across commercial functions. • Oversee the Golf segment and Golf Sales Manager, driving business development, strategic partnerships and sales opportunities to maximize Golf-related revenue. • Collaborate with the Groups & Events Sales team to drive enquiry volumes, conversion and achievement of Groups & Events targets. • Represent Verdura Resort at key international trade shows, workshops, roadshows, sales missions and client events. What are we looking for? • Proven experience in a senior Sales leadership role within luxury hospitality. • Strong knowledge of the North American market, luxury consortia and international luxury travel trade. • Demonstrated experience in key account management, new business development and strategic sales planning. • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. • Commercial mindset with strong analytical, negotiation and relationship-building skills. • Fluent English and Italian. • Willingness to travel internationally as required. In quanto Director of Sales & Marketing guiderai la strategia di vendita dell'Hotel, attraverso la gestione dei clienti (account management), il posizionamento del brand e la presenza sul mercato. Lavorerai in stretta collaborazione con i team proactive per supportare ogni fase del "ciclo di vita delle richieste" (enquiry life cycle), se e quando richiesto. Nello specifico ti occuperai di: • Definire ed mettere in atto le strategie di vendita per guidare il successo commerciale dell'hotel attraverso la gestione e lo sviluppo dei key client (key account management e account development); • Coltivare, mantenere e sfruttare solide relazioni con key client, account aziendali e partner del settore per supportare lo sviluppo del business a lungo termine; • Gestire le vendite e delle trattative; • Responsabilità generale dei processi di vendita all'interno dell' "Enquiry Life Cycle", dal contatto iniziale (lead) al passaggio di consegne al team Event Services, incluso il follow-up post-evento; • Monitorare le performance dell'hotel e proporre azioni correttive quando necessario, in collaborazione con il Revenue Management e il General Manager; • Collaborare con il team Event Services per garantire lo svolgimento dei meeting settimanali di passaggio consegne dei lead confermati per gruppi con pernottamento (residential) e solo camere (room only); • Mantenere una pipeline solida per raggiungere il budget della struttura. • Svolgere tutta la formazione relativa al ruolo: vendita, negoziazione, site inspection e formazione sul revenue; • Guidare lo sviluppo di mercati nuovi e potenziali; • Lavorare in continua collaborazione con il team Group and Event Sales per garantire la conversione e la gestione del segmento gruppi; • Dimostrare una forte intelligenza emotiva gestendo efficacemente team diversificati, affrontando le sfide e supportando la crescita personale e professionale; • Promuovere iniziative di sviluppo commerciale per garantire che i volumi delle richieste rimangano elevati e continuino a crescere; • Favorire la cooperazione all'interno del team e con gli altri reparti per offrire un'eccellenza nel servizio; • Guidare il team S&M al raggiungimento dei target e degli obiettivi concordati con la Direzione.
